Data protection declaration

 

The protection of your personal data is of vital importance for L&M. Therefore L&M will protect your right to privacy by handling your personal data with utmost discretion.

In the following L&M informs about the collection, use and storage of personal data when visiting the L&M website. Legal basis is the EU-GDPR.

Legislative changes and/or changes of content on the L&M website may require amendments to this data protection declaration. It is therefore advisable to read this declaration regularly.

L&M is an one-man consultancy, neither does L&M collect personal data according to Article 4 (1) GDPR nor does L&M supervise persons. Therefore, L&M does not have a Date Protection Supervisor.

Personal Data

3.1

Definition of personal data

 

According to Article 4 (1) GDPR the term “personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Personal data processed by the L&M website

 

The L&M website offers no possibilities for users to enter personal data. The L&M website only shows the picture of Dipl.-Biol. Lothar W. Maresch.

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files. This data is automatically shared by your browser. Specifically, following data are stored:

-   Type and version of the browser
-   Type of operating system
-   Referrer URL and sub-sites
-   IP address of the device or server requesting access
-   Date and time of retrieval of the device or server requesting access

L&M does not combine these data with other data sources.

L&M reserves the right to subsequently verify these data should concrete evidence of an unlawful use become known.

Personal data used by L&M

 

L&M processes data categories from enquirers, clients and partners for the provision of contractual services, when responding to enquiries and communicating with the above mentioned.

Data categories processed by L&M are:

-   Address information
-   Telephone numbers
-   Email addresses
-   Internet addresses
-   Bank data

Cookies

 

The L&M website uses cookies.

A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web server. Cookies are not used to run programs and do not deliver viruses to your computer. Most cookies are so-called “session cookies” and are automatically deleted when you end your visit resp. session. Other cookies are stored on the hard drive of the visitor’s computer until they are deleted. These cookies allow the L&M website to recognize your browser upon your revisit.

You can set your browser to receive information on the placed cookies, to accept specific cookies or reject all cookies as well as automatically deleting cookies when closing the browser.

The rejection of cookies may lead to reduced functionality of the L&M website.

L&M does not use any type of contact form on its website. Please find contact information in the imprint.

Use of plug-ins or services provided by others (e.g. Google AdWords. Google Maps plug-in, Google Analytics, Facebook plug-in or any other social plug-ins) on the L&M website

 

L&M does not use any type of above mentioned plug-ins or any other type of service of this nature.

L&M reserves the right to access such services in the future. In such a case L&M will adapt the data protection declaration accordingly.

Security of your data

 

L&M has adopted precautionary measures to ensure personal data protection. L&M has implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation and unauthorized access and /or disclosure.

Only Dipl.-Biol. Lothar W. Maresch has access to your personal data. The technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data are reviewed regularly and adapted to technical progress.

The L&M website is SSL-encrypted (https://).

L&M states explicitly that Dipl.-Biol. Lothar W. Maresch is not responsible for persons or parties not complying with data protection regulations of any type or not having installed appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure personal data protection. Users transferring personal data to L&M e.g. by email are therefore responsible to ensure an appropriate level of encryption and/or apply appropriate measures of data protection.

Data transfer to third parties

 

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless you have given us your prior consent, or if a legal basis exists.

L&M only transfers your data to countries outside the European Economic Area if it is necessary for the provision of contractual services, when responding to enquiries and communicating to clients, it is required by law or you have given L&M your consent.

A legal obligation applies in particular with the following recipients: public authorities, regulating authorities and bodies, e.g., tax revenue authorities, jurisprudence/law enforcement agencies, e.g., police, public prosecutors, courts, lawyers and notaries, e.g., in insolvency proceedings.

To prevent and/or investigate criminal offences L&M will disclose personal data as required by law.

Your rights

 

You can request information if your personal data is processed and which data is processed at any time by L&M. This information is free of charge. If your details are not or are no longer accurate you can request a correction. If your details are incomplete, you may request a completion. L&M will execute your request immediately upon receipt in written form.

According to Article 17 GDPR you can request the deletion of your personal data. L&M will execute your request immediately upon receipt in written form.

Please note that the legal obligations of Lothar W. Maresch can lead to a situation that your data cannot be deleted or only after expiration of a period of time. In this case the data will be blocked.

If necessary, L&M processes your personal data for the duration of the business relationship, this includes the initiation and processing of this as well as the storage due to legal retention periods.

Automatic decision making

 

L&M is conscious of its responsibilities. Therefore L&M does not use automated decision making according to Article 22 GDPR for the establishment and implementation of the business relationship.
